The Donation Process

To join the program all you have to do is follow these seven easy steps:

1 Complete the Purchase Agreement.
By completing this form you will agree to purchase a combination of barley grass and rice and/or kidney beans. This combination is also known as a food unit and will cost you the donor $1700 per unit. Please click on the Agreements link to view the Purchase Agreement.

2 Claim title to the food.
When you purchase a food unit(s) you will acquire free and clear title to that food unit(s). By having title to it you are free to do with it as you see fit.

3 Arrange to donate the food to a registered charity.
Canadians Change the World Inc. will, upon your request, arrange for the registered charity to accept the food as a charitable donation. Under the terms of the Purchase Agreement, Canadians Change the World Inc. will be appointed the lawful agent and attorney-in-fact for you.

4 Donate the food to Charity.
In order to facilitate the donation, complete and sign the “Deed of Gift to a Charity” form. Canadians Change the World Inc. will then facilitate the transfer as your lawful agent. Please click on the Agreements link to view the “Deed of Gift to a Charity” form.

5

Obtain the charitable donation tax receipt.
Within 60 days of receipt of the donation information, the Charity will issue a charitable donation tax receipt, in your name, equal to the fair market value of the food unit(s) donated.

The charitable donation tax receipt will be in accordance with guidelines set forth by the CCRA.

All participating charities will have obtained an independent Fair Market Value Methodology Report of the donated food products to ensure compliance with the CCRA guidelines.

6 Purchase and shipping is arranged.
Upon receipt of the donated monies, Canadians Change the World Inc. will arrange the purchase and shipping of the food unit(s) to the locations directed by the charity and in association with other non-government organizations (NGOs).

7

Your donation reaches those who need it.
The registered charity will accept the donation and dispense as they see fit and in conjunction with other NGOs.
